This has been running through my minds for the last few months. I've always wondered why there some occultists that are relatively wealthy (meaning that they have all the material possessions a person of wealth would be expected to possess) while others are dirt poor and just scraping by.
I kept nagging my inner magical being until it finally got pissed out and gave me an acceptable answer: " Each persons wealth, whether they be an occultist or not, is largely dependent upon their individual ray..."
I got the distinct feeling that my IMB ended that statement with a "duh, you dumbass.." and walked away somewhere....
It makes perfect sense when you think about it: As we all have different "soul urges" or rays by which we are vitalized, not everyone will have the urge to work consistently an smartly to build their fortunes. Some people just don't care about being extremely wealthy and that's totally fine. I happen to care about it however :/
Some peoples souls urge them to open their heart unconditionally and project compassionate energies as far as they possibly can, while others are only here on this planet just to have as much fun as possible. And still there are people whose reason for living is primarily to acquire/express power on all planes of existence.
I think that confusion and agony comes about when a person is not in tune with their souls' desires. This is especially rampant in the occult community. There are LOADS of talented occult scientists in the world that never seem to have enough money and they are confused about this; this all boils down to knowing what exactly in life will make you completely and deeply happy. Besides, even when a person is able to attract money seemingly "effortlessly", they still have challenges with which to deal. Money does however help you meet those challenges a mite easier, don't you think?
Many people (occultist or not) fall to realize that in order to build something down here on the physical level of existence, they have to take carefully planned physical ACTIONS. It's not just about being able to invoke every single angelic energy in every single grimoire.
I'll let you in on the big secret that wealthy people know: provide services for people and they will give you money. It's simple in theory and should be simple in practice, but then if it was easy it wouldn't be the earth plane, now would it? This is the value of learning necessary skills through books and mentorship programs like the one we offer here.
At the end of the day, the wealthiest people are the ones that are quiet enough to hear the urging of the soul and brave enough to follow it.
Once a person determines what they truly want and desire on the level of the soul, then they can set about deciding which energies they need to add to their energy field in order to achieve what they desire.
See your soul first, then use your magic to live it.
